Welcome to the 2026-27 dance season at IDA! Please read below for important studio information.
STUDIO INFO & POLICIES:
-Address: 400 Commerce Drive, Fort Washington 19034
-For safety, please park your car and walk your children into the dance studio and come in to pick them up. 2-5 year old parents should stay in the waiting area during class. Please park in a designated spot and do not stop in front of the building as it is not safe for others.
-Please do not bring valuables to the dance studio as IDA cannot guarantee the protection of property.
-Students will be asked to silence and not use their cell phones while in class.
DRESS CODE:

Boutique hours will be held this summer and communicated via email. You can also make an appointment to come in by emailing boutique@idadancer.com. Additionally, you can order online for pick up.
SHOES:
-Combo: Ballet shoes, tap shoes
-Jazz: Jazz shoes (Bare feet for Teen Jazz)
-Modern: Bare feet or Foot Undeez
-Lyrical: Bare feet or Foot Undeez
-Ballet: Ballet shoes
-Hip-hop: Sneakers
-Street Jazz: Sneakers and bare feet
-Pointe: Pointe shoes
-Contemporary: Bare feet
-Acro: Bare feet or Foot Undeez
ATTIRE:
-2 yr-1st grade classes: Any dance outfit (leotard, tights, skirt, leggings, etc)
-Ballet classes (2nd-3rd -Teen): Leotard, tights, optional ballet skirt or shorts
-Jazz/Lyrical/Contemporary/Modern/Acro: Leotard or fitted tank top, leggings or dance pants
Tap/Hip-hop/Street Jazz- Workout clothes (NO jeans)
-Dancers must be dressed for dance in order to participate in class.
-ALL HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK for all classes.
CALENDAR:
9/14- Classes begin
9/21- Closed, Yom Kippur
10/24- Halloween Party 6:00-8:00pm- K-5th graders
10/26-10/31- Halloween Week (2 yr-5th grade classes wear costumes to class)
11/24-11/29- Closed, Thanksgiving
12/5- Final day of fall dance
12/7- Winter dance begins, Tuition due
12/20-1/3- Closed, Winter break
2/5-2/7- Solo/Duet Show Weekend
2/13- Valentines Pajama Jam Party 6:00-8:00pm- K-5th graders
3/6- Final day of winter dance
3/8- Spring dance begins, Tuition due
3/21-3/28- Closed, Spring break
4/21-4/22- Closed, Passover
5/2- Choreography Showcase, Graduating Seniors Night (Rep & HHC)
5/21-5/27- Visiting/Show Week for 2-5 yr. classes
5/29- Final day of spring dance
6/1-6/3- Dress rehearsal for K-Teen Classes (Exact dates & times TBA)
6/4-6/6- Recitals for K-Teen Classes (Exact dates & times TBA)
TUITION & ENROLLMENT POLICIES:
*Tuition is paid in 3-month increments.
*Tuition reminders will be emailed.
*Dancers are enrolled for the full 9-month season but can discontinue after the 3-month payment period by emailing fwstudio@idadancer.com prior to the next tuition due date or when reminder is received.
*If dancers do not un-enroll prior to the tuition due date, their spot in class will be held and tuition will be due.
*A 10% late fee will be charged per 2 weeks past the due date.
*Tuition can be paid online through your emailed invoice or by signing into your dashboard.
*Checks can be dropped in the studio tuition box or mailed to PO Box 114 Fort Washington, PA 19034.

SOCIAL MEDIA:
*Photos and videos of our dancers are presented on our social media. If you do not want your dancer to appear please email fwstudio@idadancer.com stating so.
*Follow us on Instagram @idadanceofficial to help support the studio and keep up with all the latest! You may see your dancer there as well!
COMMUNICATION & WEATHER POLICIES:
*On days of inclement weather, you will be emailed about any cancellations.
*IDA will communicate via email and social media throughout the dance season.
